To drive in BC you must have a valid driver’s licence, the vehicle you are driving must be licenced and insured and you must know and follow the rules of the road.

If you are a visitor, you can drive in BC for up to six months with a valid driver’s licence from your country. If you have an International Driving Permit, you must also carry the accompanying foreign licence.
